Our Vision

A  Roadmap for Roatán

The current residences available in Beyabu represent a small part of the masterplan developed by Zaha Hadid Architects. In addition to these residential units, standalone villas and co-living complexes are in development, with construction starting in 2023.

This flexible array of dwelling types will foster a diverse community in Beyabu and St.John’s Bay, a community linked by an expansive network of shared public spaces and amenities.

Design Philosophy

The design of the residences in Beyabu reflects ZHA’s deeply held values including future-oriented architectural form that integrates wisdom from the past — particularly local vernacular wisdom in timber construction, climactic appropriateness and cultural and spatial particulars.

The aesthetics of the Beyabu design is the result of its physical and social high-performance.

Design + Community

ConfigCo is a co-design and development platform created by ZHA that allows for end-buyers, rental pool operators, investors and local suppliers to participate in shaping the physical, social and economic aspects of a residential development.

Participants will benefit from the digitization of buildings in both their construction and operation. The platform approach also offers local construction companies, building tradespoersons and ofter crafts-persons to benefit from an infusion of digital technologies into the economy. Additionally, early investors will be able to shape the features and development of the platform and its physical counterparts.

Construction + Technology

Circular Factory is a new model of building construction and economic development, augmenting local labor and techniques with the precision of digital fabrication machines.

This model seeks to eliminate the material and energy waste associated with traditional or modular construction, while capturing the efficiencies afforded by digitization and precision tooling. This process develops a skilled ecosystem of local labor that meaningfully strengthens the economy of the region.
